I'm a professional writer based in London with 7+ years of experience, much of it dedicated to the psychedelic and substance-use space. I became drawn to this industry after experiencing the therapeutic benefits of LSD and ketamine firsthand. Since then, I've been writing about these subjects extensively, both through my own independent magazine and for clients across the biotech, clinical, and decentralised science sectors.

Case Study: PsyDAO

PsyDAO is a decentralised organisation focused on funding psychedelic research and cultural projects, operating as part of, one of the largest decentralised science ecosystems.

I authored a multi-part educational series for PsyDAO, covering the pharmacology and clinical applications of classical psychedelics and entactogens.

The work spanned their use in treating depression, addiction, PTSD, and end-of-life existential distress, exploring mechanisms like serotonergic activity, amygdala inhibition, neuroplasticity, and default mode network disruption. I also wrote an ethical analysis covering consent and touch in psychedelic-assisted therapy, the impact of psychedelics on personal belief systems, and the cultural integrity of indigenous psychedelic practices. All scientific content was reviewed and verified by a pharmacist.

The challenge was tonal. The material needed to be scientifically rigorous enough to hold up under scrutiny, while remaining accessible to readers without a clinical or academic background. I wanted someone with no prior knowledge of pharmacology to finish reading and feel genuinely informed, not just exposed to terminology.
